Privacy Policy
Last updated September 6, 2026 · TeachMeCursive LLC
This policy covers the TeachMeCursive website and our iPhone and Android apps. Learner profiles are managed by a parent, and we never sell family information.
The short version
We collect the little we need to run your family's account and save practice progress. We do not sell data, we do not show ads, and we never market to children.
This policy covers the TeachMeCursive website and the iPhone and Android apps alike.
What we collect
- Parent account details: your email address and sign-in credentials, or the basic profile Google shares if you sign in with Google.
- Learner profiles: the first name or nickname you type, the age group you pick, and display settings such as theme, left-handed mode, and extra support.
- Practice activity: traced letters and words, match scores, game results, streaks, challenge entries, and certificates earned.
- Custom words you add for practice.
- Billing status: your plan, trial dates, renewal date, and payment history. Card numbers go straight to our payment processor and never reach our systems.
- Basic technical logs such as device type and error reports, used to fix problems.
Why we use it
- To create and run your family account and keep learners' progress saved between sessions.
- To show progress rings, recaps, challenges, and certificates.
- To send account emails: sign-up confirmation, password resets, receipts, trial reminders, and a welcome note.
- To take payment and keep your plan accurate.
- To keep the service secure and to fix bugs.
Children's information
TeachMeCursive is parent-managed. Children cannot create accounts, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from a child. A learner profile holds only what the adult on the account chooses to enter, usually a first name and an age group, plus the practice work done on that profile.
There is no advertising in TeachMeCursive, no ad tracking, no behavioural profiling, and no marketing sent to learners. We do not sell or rent any family's information.
A parent or guardian can review, correct, export, or delete any learner profile from inside the app, or by writing to support@teachmecursive.org. Deleting a profile removes its practice history.
Who else handles data for us
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, only to do the job we hired them for: our hosting and database provider, our payment processor, and our email delivery provider. They may not use your information for their own purposes.
Data is stored on servers in the United States. We share information with anyone else only when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
Cookies and similar storage
The website uses cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your language and theme, and carry a referral code from a share link. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. The apps store the same kind of settings on your device.
How long we keep things
We keep account and practice data while your account is open, so progress is still there when you come back. When you ask us to delete your account we remove your family's data within 30 days, apart from records we must keep for tax and accounting.
Your choices
- See and edit your family's information in Settings at any time.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, by email.
- Unsubscribe from reminder emails while still receiving essential account emails such as receipts and password resets.
- Turn off practice reminders in Settings.

If we change this policy we will update the date above and email you when the change is significant. Questions, requests, and concerns all go to support@teachmecursive.org — TeachMeCursive LLC, United States.
